the Hutton tree hunt

A new family tradition is born.
We bundled up and headed out to cut down our Christmas tree.

Of course the secret to any good tree hunting expedition is all in the accessories.
Chris looking handsome in the chilly outdoors.
The girl looking adorable ready to be pulled through the woods.
A convenient hill was just begging for a little toboggan ride on our way to the perfect tree.
We found it, Christmas tree perfection in the form of a six foot scotch pine. Chris cut it down whill the girl supervised.
Back to the warm and cozy comforts of home.

If anyone was wondering about the environmental impact of a real Christmas tree (I was).
Turns out its the way to go.
Its a crop just like corn or pumpkins. So its a fabulous Canadian business.
The trees while growing are natural air pollution filters and for everyone cut down ten more are growing.
The city recycles/composts the trees free of charge after Christmas so nothing is going into a landfill.

I love our tree :)
