When The Meeting House starts a new regional site we start off with what we call a soft launch. This is pretty much a three week dress rehearsal to give our teams a chance to solidify their rolls, make sure our satellite signal is working, lighting, sound blah blah blah. It is essentially a regular service with a extra serving of grace for little glitches that will happen as we learn to work together. These services are not advertised (although The Meeting House does very little advertising anyway) people are encouraged to not bring friends and family until the hard launch on November 9th.
Today was our first service and it was fantabulous. The air was thick with excited anticipation and the energy was contagious. One hundred and fourteen was the head count for the morning. I can't wait for next week.
