There is a phenomena called rushing, people who rush call them selves rushers.
The creator of Rent Jonathan Larson did not live to see the success of his creation. In his memory 28 seats of every performance are reserved and sold two hours before each performance for $20. Depending on where the show is performing you may have to camp out as early as 8 hours before a show to get the $20 tickets. This camping out before the show is called rushing the box office. I have been fortunate to have friends rush for me but yesterday was my first rushing experience. My sister in law Sam and I camped out for 3 hours in the box office lobby of the Labatts Center with four others. At 5:50 a literal rush of people came in trying to get "the cheep tickets" that were going on sale at 6:00. Sam and I went in with our elbows up and got our tickets! Front row center thank you very much. The show of course was amazing.
We loved the show and mooed our hearts out and I have to admit the seats are sooo much sweeter knowing the people behind you paid $80.

I love how miserable the people in the background of those pictures look!
